Rialto, meeting place of old and young drinkers. Home to the fish, meat, cheese and spices market.
The streets of Rialto intertwine like a complicated labyrinth. Here the sense of orientation is put to the test.
Rialto is a kasbah.
It was the home of the wholesale market of fruits and vegetables.
The market opened at 4 am. The “Pesadori”, good people, drank the Chin Con at the Bar “Dal Peoco”.
The boats full of vegetables came from Sant’Erasmo.
The wholesaler I fondly remember Mr. Moschino. A gentleman.
Rialto was a Kasbah.
I think it’s the most beautiful place in the world.
Long live the Rialto!
